Monthly Life List: December 2014

The following is a life list that is meant to be fun, free and something that you can do locally. The only guideline is you should aim to finish as many items as possible by the deadline (see below!).

  • Spend one day this month in solitude
  • Make it your mission to walk 10,000 steps a day
  • Get rid of all but one of your credit cards
  • Buy something you use often in bulk to save money
  • Actively drive the speed limit for one week
  • Get up an hour earlier than normal
  • Read a book that you not yet prioritized
  • Cancel a reoccurring subscription
  • Avoid answering your phone simply because it is ringing
  • Stop sending holiday cards

The Deadline

No Life List would be complete without a deadline. This monthly Life List’s deadline is:

December 31st 2014

  • One of my favorite things about your lists is they’re a mix of things I either already do, things I don’t need much effort to accomplish and then a few things that feel overwhelming.

So I can immediately check off the done things, quickly complete the things that are easy and then I tackle one tough thing.

This month… spending a day in solitude. With a 10 year old and a new baby, it’s not so simple, but I’d really like just one day alone. I shall let you know how it goes.

    • :-) I like your drive on this. I didn’t even notice that was how I was feeling with these lists but you are right, I always get to start right “in the middle”.

Good luck on your day of solitude. I sincerely hope you check it off this month, you certainly deserve it. Cheers!
