Monthly Life List: June 2015

The following is a life list that is meant to be fun, free and something that you can do locally. The only guideline is you should aim to finish as many items as possible by the deadline (see below!).

  • Have a coffee/tea with someone you haven’t seen in over a year
  • Put and keep your cell phone out of sight in conversation
  • Buy a lottery ticket and give them out to people on the street, wishing them good luck
  • Listen to a podcast
  • Code a simple computer program
  • Clean a closet
  • Go for a 5k hike
  • People watch
  • Read one of your childhood favorite books to a child
  • Make a new friend

The Deadline

No Life List would be complete without a deadline. This monthly Life List’s deadline is:

June 30th 2015

    Hey again!

I already do quite a few of these. So I always put my cell phone away during conversations, but I’m actually considering a full on social media fast. I did a week long one a little while ago to see how it would go.

The thing on this list, though, that hits me is to have coffee with someone I haven’t seen in a while. I have a friend I haven’t seen in a really long time. In fact, I went through a pregnancy and now have a one year old child since the last time I saw her. I wanted to tell her about the pregnancy (and then baby) face to face. But it just never worked out to get together.

So now I’m going to make it work out.

I’ve probably said this before, but I love that your lists keep things simple. All of these are possible, they’re just things we overlook on a daily basis. Love it!

    • Hey!

:-) This is wonderful. I am really glad to hear that you are getting value out of these lists and that you are taking actions as a result of them. Best of luck on your coffee date, should be worthwhile.

I am going to be testing out a new version of these in a couple of months, I’ll reach out to you to get your input before posting the new kind of list.
